In cold, damp conditions, there will be times that your duck call will lock up. Here's what you can do to keep your reeds from sticking:

Take your reeds and pinch the reed tip upward.

This stiffens the reed and changes the tone from higher to slightly lower. It also keeps the reeds from sticking together.

Simple as that!
