SADIE, SI AND JASE ROBERTSON PUT OUT THE (DUCK) CALL FOR CHARITY
Family behind A&E’s Duck Dynasty reality series sets online charity challenge for July 6-17
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – (July 1, 2015) – Call it the duck days of summer, the time when it’s 90 degrees outside and still four months away from hunting season. The Robertson family has come up with a way to chase away those summer blues and benefit deserving charities as well.
Sadie, Uncle Si and Jase Robertson of A&E’s Duck Dynasty will hold an online charity duck call competition July 6-17 benefitting their favorite charities. The trio is competing to sell the most duck calls, choosing different varieties from the family’s Duck Commander line to pit against each other. The Robertsons will donate $10 from the sale of each call, or about 50 percent of the manufacturer’s suggested retail price.
Sadie has chosen the Stella’s Voice charity, Uncle Si will compete for the Wounded Warriors Project and Jase has selected the Mia Moo Fund. Stella’s Voice ministers to orphans and victims of human trafficking. Wounded Warriors offers a number of services to veterans injured in the line of duty. And the Mia Moo Fund aids children with cleft lips and palates.
The online duck call contest is the latest example of the Robertsons using their pop culture icon status to help others. To see more charitable antics check out Season 8 of Duck Dynasty at 9:30 p.m. ET this Wednesday on A&E.
